PETKIT EverSweet 3 Pro (UVC): Specs, Price, Pros & Cons
PetKit's trick with the EverSweet 3 Pro is where it put the ultraviolet lamp: inside the pump. The pump itself has no cable, sitting on a magnetic induction pad in the base, so the UV element, the impeller and the only moving part all lift out together for cleaning and there is nothing electrical in the water except a sealed block. Add a 304 stainless-steel tank and you have the model in PetKit's fountain range aimed squarely at hygiene.
It sits between the entry-level Solo 2 and the larger Max 2 and camera-equipped Ultra. The stainless tank is the visible difference from the Solo 2. The UV pump is the invisible one, and PetKit sells a non-UV version of this same fountain in some markets, so the (UVC) in the name is worth checking on the box. Filtration uses PetKit's multi-stage Filter 3.0 cartridge, shared across the range.
The app side is more limited than the marketing suggests. The fountain talks to your phone over Bluetooth, not Wi-Fi. Reminders to refill or change the filter, and switching between intermittent, continuous and a scheduled quiet period, all work when you are in the room. Remote control only exists if another PetKit device within about eight meters acts as a bridge. The power adapter is not in the box, and PetKit says nothing in the fountain is dishwasher safe.
This is a fountain for a cat owner, or the owner of a small dog, who wants steel and sterilization in a compact footprint and is happy to manage it from the sofa. Anyone who wants to check on the water from work, or place the fountain far from a socket, is looking at the wrong PetKit.

How this VS Score was computed
Score 42: each known spec is measured against the median of all water fountains (8 products), then weighted; 50 means level with that median. In classes of six or more, a value beyond the class’s 10th–90th percentile range counts as that limit, so one extreme product cannot set the scale. 76% of the scoreable weight could be used; unknown values, features not applicable to this class and proxies (battery capacity where a rated life exists) add or remove nothing.

Editor’s note
The UV claim deserves a sober reading. PetKit says the lamp kills the vast majority of bacteria such as E. coli in the water passing the pump, and in Normal mode it runs continuously for three hours after a fill and then in one-hour bursts every three hours. That is useful against slime on the pump and in the tank, which is where most fountains go wrong. It does not clean the tray, the outlet or the filter housing, and PetKit's own guidance still assumes you take the whole thing apart regularly. Think of it as extending the interval between cleans, not replacing them.
Capacity is honest but small. Usable volume is 1.6 L (the box says 1.8 L, which is the brim), and PetKit reckons that covers one or two cats for five to seven days. A small reserve of about 60 mL stays in the tray if the power fails, which is a nice detail but no safety net.
The part that would make me hesitate is the opaque tank. Stainless steel is the reason to buy this over the plastic Solo 2, but it means there is no level window. You find out how much water is left by lifting the top or waiting for the app to complain. Combined with Bluetooth-only control, this is a fountain you manage in person.
Costs after purchase are the filters, which PetKit says to change every four weeks, plus a USB adapter if you do not have one spare. Against PETLIBRO's Dockstream Cordless Fountain, the PetKit wins on materials and sterilization and loses on placement freedom. For one or two indoor cats in a flat where the fountain lives near a socket anyway, I think the steel-and-UV combination is worth the step up from the Solo 2. For a big dog, PetKit itself says look elsewhere.

The bottom line
The PETKIT EverSweet 3 Pro (UVC) earns a VS Score of 42, below the median of the 8 water fountains it is measured against (a score of 50 is level with that median).
- Who it’s for
- A cat owner who wants a stainless tank and UV in the pump, and whose phone is usually within Bluetooth range of the fountain anyway.
- Who should look elsewhere
- Anyone who wants to check or control the fountain from work (the app connects over Bluetooth only), and owners of medium or large dogs, which PetKit rules out.
- The trade-off that matters
- The steel tank is opaque and there is no level window, so the price of a hygienic bowl is lifting the top to see how much water is left.
- The main alternative
- PETLIBRO Dockstream Cordless Fountain: no UV or steel tank, but a built-in battery frees it from the wall socket for weeks at a time.
